- 2 cups vatana dried peas cooked and drained
- 1/4 cups breadcrumbs
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Into the mixing bowl, add the cooked dried peas, garlic powder, salt and breadcrumbs. 
- Mash and mix them to form a firm yet moist dough.  
- Shape the dough into nuggets and place them on a flour-lined tray. 
- Cover and chill for half an hour.  
- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.  
- Line the baking tray and place the nuggets on them. 
- Bake for 20 minutes or till the top shows small cracks.  
- Remove from the oven and cool on a rack. 
- Serve with salad or as a platter with dips.
