Boti masala chaat

Ingredients
  

For frying the boti

  • 10-15 pieces boti fryums
  • 1 cup cooking oil

For the salad

  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 small red onion
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 small green chilli chopped
  • 1/4 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/4 tsp aamchur
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/8 tsp red chilli powder optional

Other toppings

  • 3 tbsp sev
  • 1 tbsp roasted peanuts

Instructions
 

  • Deep fry the boti in hot oil.
  • Store this in n airtight container till ready to make the chaat.
  • Wash and chop the tomato, onion, chillies and coriander leaves.
  • Add these into the mixing bowl.
  • Wash and grate a carrot and add that as well to the mixing bowl.
  • Add the salt, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, amchur powder and lemon and mix well.
  • Set this aside till needed.
  • When ready to assemble, slice the boti into half and arrange on a plate.
  • Top with the prepared salad, followed by the peanuts and sev.
  • Sprinkle another layer of chaat masala on top and the chaat is ready to be served.
