- Wash and clean the gai lan 
- Trim the stems and the leaves and set them ready. 
- Set the wok on high heat. 
- Add the sesame oil. 
- Add the garlic and ginger to roast in the oil. 
- Once the garlic starts getting golden, add the stalks of the broccoli. 
- In a small bowl add the ingredients for the sauce. 
- As the stalk sautes, add the leaves and mix well.  
- Pour the sauce over it. and mix well. 
- Saute this n high heat. 
- Remove from heat and sprinkle the sesame seeds.  
- The stirfry is now ready to serve.
