Wandering aimless one day… mind not settling ..decided to take a trip to Little India.. ..
Hmmm… now to find a place to eat….I was in no mood for a big meal …. wanted something flavorful…which can put me back to cheer mode…
We found Karaikudi restaurant.. decided to try..
A simple setting restaurant….nothing fancy….yet something caught my eye.. a picture of chettinad cusine..with a beautifully worded message below it about the use of spices in the cuisine…we instantly knew we are in the right place for today….
Our order was simple
A vegetarian biryani and a cauliflower crispy fry…
It was not a long wait…we had crunchy papadams to munch on….
The fragrance of the chettinad style biryani…was good.. it was yummy too. It was not just yellow rice…
The Korma on the side was really flavorful,with fresh coconut and not much of overpowering spices….yummy
The raita.. .not my favorite coz it was very sour…
The cauliflower crispy fry….super yum,
Yes ….now that put me back into cheer mode.
We topped it off with filter coffee. The coffee really was authentic…. lightly frothed…n super good…
The meal was approximately 22RM…and a good effort with the biryani and coffee……worth a visit…
Psst… we could hear pressure cooker whistle sounds from the kitchen and with this…. we were reminded of meal at home….
